Hand-made paper workshopHand-made paper workshop
The printing press invented by German goldsmith Johann Gutenberg in 1448 has been called one of the most important inventions in the history of mankind. Only two replicas of this device were made in Austria in 1937, one of which can be found in a workshop in Ohrid, Macedonia.  This workshop, located near the Robev House, was opened on 23 October 2002 by the tragically killed Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski. Here you can see the process of making paper as it was authentically made in China in the 2nd century BC.
