Bulgarian Writers' Association – Todorovski and Cvetanovski Become Honorary Members

Macedonian poets Gane Todorovski and Branko Cvetkovski have been pronounced the honorary members of the Bulgarian Writers’ Association. Bulgarian renowned authors and academics attended the ceremony in the oldest writers’ association in Bulgaria on Friday (9th March). The Bulgarian authors, Petar Karaangov and Evtim Evtimov addressed the Macedonian poets’ work. They emphasised the role the two poets had played in the development of cultural cooperation between the two countries via translation literature.
Todorovski is the member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and arts and has chaired the Macedonian Writers’ Association as well as the Struga Poetry Evenings. He has written about 15 books of poetry and is the author of a number of review-essayist works and anthologies of poetry.
Cvetkovski is a poet, literary critic, essayist and translator. He is the author of 10 books of poetry and many review and essayist works where he deals with themes of the Macedonian modern literature.
Bulgarian authors Karaangov and Dimitar Hristov were elected honorary members of the Macedonian Writers’ Association last year.
