Strumica Carnival
Strumica CarnivalThe three-day Strumica Carnival is one of the greatest attractions for visitors because of its merry atmosphere and thousands of masked participants strolling through the town streets. The carnival is held each year within the “Trimeri” days, which is at the beginning of the Lenten Fast. Smolari Waterfall
Smolari WaterfallThe attractive Smolari Waterfall is located on the northern slopes of Mt. Belasica, in the lower course of Smolarski River. This 40m-high waterfall is set in beautiful scenery and makes for a wonderful spot, and the half-hour hike to get there is along well-maintained grounds.

 

Bansko Spa
The Bansko Spa is located 12 kilometers southeast from Strumica, at the foot of the Mt. Belasica. The ruins of a Roman bathhouse testify that the thermal mineral springs of the Bansko Spa were famous as early as Roman times. Located at the Tsar Samoil Hotel, the well-known rehabilitation baths provide care for the disabled and offer a sauna, massage, and a restaurant that serves health food.
